1. Start the Game

Tap or click Play to begin. A pair of tiles (usually “2” or “4”) appears randomly on the grid.

2. Controls

• Desktop: Use arrow keys or swipe gestures to slide all tiles in that direction.

• Mobile: Swipe across the board to move tiles.

3. Mechanics & Objectives

• Slides move all tiles as far as possible. Identical tiles that collide merge into a new tile whose value is the sum (e.g., 4 + 4 → 8).

• Each move adds a new tile (usually “2” or “4”) in an empty spot.

• Continue merging and sliding to reach the 2048 tile and beyond, while maximizing your high score.
